Project Description: The objectives of this project are to: 1) strengthen economic coping mechanisms and social safety nets within HIV/AIDS-affected and vulnerable households; 2) improve the programmatic capacity of CBOs to provide care and support for people living with AIDS and orphans and vulnerable children at the community and household levels; 3) increase the capacity of CBOs to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS at the community level; and 4) increase HIV prevention by encouraging voluntary counseling and testing through strategic communication for behavior change.
